Claudia Garcia’s passion has shown through since she was a little girl. At the age of 5, her mother enrolled her at a local dance studio in La Havana, Cuba, known as “La Casa de Cultura.” She participated at several competitions held at the local theater, “Teatro Municipal”. She entered her first dance competition and placed 1st for the “Cha-cha-cha-.” But everything was about to change when her family moved to Miami, FL in the Summer 2000.
It was a new place, culture, and lifestyle that her family was not familiar with. Entering high school, she was able to sign up for the dance program which was directed by Martica Aguirregaviria. She danced all four years of high school and was also a cheerleader where she was elected captain. Upon graduation, Claudia knew her talent was beginning to peak, and she decided to take matters into her own hands and continue her training at
The Living Dolls Dance Factory where Martica directed along side Janet Jaramillo. She took Jazz and Hip Hop classes with Martica and Janet Jones, and began training Contemporary/Modern style with Janet Jaramillo.
At the age of 18, Claudia traveled to Los Angeles, CA, where she
trained at Millennium Dance Complex and Debbie
Reynolds Dance Studios. She had the opportunity to work with
choreographers such as Miguel Antonio, Brooklyn Jai, Tricia
Miranda, Tucker Barkley, Ellis, Karon, and many more. Back in
Miami, she was confident that her talent had the potential to
become her profession, and was hired by the top three local
dance agencies, and thats when her career as a professional
dancer skyrocketed. She has danced for Artists including Pitbull,
Neyo, Chino y Nacho, Wisin y Yandel,
Cristian Castro, Sensato, and Renegade Foxxx.
Claudia has also danced in music videos with artist such as Drake
, Lil Wayne, Frech Montana, Rick Ross, Timbaland, Timati,
and famous choreographer Glenn Douglas Packard. She has
danced in many events hosted by TV Channels Univision and
Telemundo, including Premios Lo Nuestro 2011 & 2012, Premios
Juventud 2011 & 2012, Latin Billboard Awards 2012, Descontrol,
and many more. She just recently performed in a Promo Flashmob
for the movie Step Up 4 Revolution with choreographer
Jamal Simms, and main characters Kathryn McCormick and Ryan
Guzman. She was also selected for Miami's Elite Dance Group,
which is a few hand selected dancers who perform all around the
country with L.A choreographers such as Jamal Simms, Chuck
Maldonado, and Draico just to name a few.
